Our commitments

Corporate Social Responsibility

Security is a human challenge. How we run our business should reflect that.

Culture Gem was founded on the belief that cybersecurity works best when it centres people. That principle extends beyond our client work into how we operate as a business — how we treat our team, our partners, our communities, and the environment.

Diversity & Inclusion

Cybersecurity has a well-documented diversity problem. We're committed to being part of the solution — not just in hiring, but in how we design and deliver our work.

  • Our awareness programmes are designed to be neurodiverse-adaptive, making security training accessible to every learning style.
  • Our founder has been recognised on the Computer Weekly Most Influential Women in UK Tech longlist (2024 & 2025) and as a Most Inspiring Women in Cyber finalist.
  • We actively support and mentor underrepresented groups entering the cybersecurity profession.
  • Our delivery partners are selected with diversity and inclusion as a core criterion.

Ethical Business Practices

Trust is the foundation of everything we do. Our clients share sensitive information and rely on our integrity. We take that seriously.

  • We operate with full transparency on pricing, scope, and deliverables — no hidden fees or scope creep.
  • We maintain strict data protection standards across all client engagements, aligned with UK GDPR.
  • Our Modern Slavery Statement reflects our commitment to ethical supply chains and fair labour practices.
  • We only recommend solutions our clients genuinely need — we don't upsell technology for the sake of margin.

Community & Education

We believe cybersecurity knowledge shouldn't be locked behind corporate budgets. We contribute to the wider community wherever we can.

  • We speak at industry events and contribute to public discourse on security culture and resilience.
  • We've delivered training to 61,000+ users across public sector organisations including the NHS and UKHSA.
  • We share knowledge through articles, panels, and mentoring — helping raise the bar across the industry.
  • We support initiatives that make cybersecurity careers accessible to people from non-traditional backgrounds.

Environmental Responsibility

As a consultancy, our environmental footprint is relatively small — but we're committed to keeping it that way and reducing it where we can.

  • We operate as a remote-first business, reducing commuting and office energy consumption.
  • We prioritise digital delivery over physical materials — our e-learning and awareness content is entirely online.
  • Where travel is required, we favour public transport and consolidate site visits to minimise unnecessary journeys.
  • We choose cloud infrastructure providers with strong sustainability commitments and renewable energy targets.

Our commitment

CSR isn't a separate initiative at Culture Gem — it's built into how we work. From the training we design to the partners we choose, we aim to make a positive impact on the organisations and communities we serve. We review these commitments annually and hold ourselves accountable to them.
