Not Another Phishing Simulator: Help Us Build the Anti-Sim That Puts People First

Most phishing simulators try to catch people out. We’re building one that brings people in.

At Culture Gem, we believe the old-school "gotcha" approach to phishing awareness is broken. It's inaccessible, anxiety-inducing, and out of touch with how real behaviour change happens.

That’s why we’ve created Design Your Own Phish — a creative, role-reversal experience that teaches people to think like attackers in order to defend like pros. And now we want your help to improve it.

Why This Isn’t a Simulator

This is not designed to simulate being tricked. It’s designed to show how tricks actually work.

Instead of testing people with fake emails, we ask them to create one. Learners explore the same psychological tactics scammers use: urgency, authority, spoofing, emotional pressure. In doing so, they gain real instincts for spotting scams before they take hold.

This is not guesswork. It’s strategy and insight, and it’s fully accessible.

What Makes It Different

  • No shame, no scores, no pressure. Feedback is private, constructive, and free of gotchas

  • Accessible by design. Screen reader friendly, keyboard navigable, mobile-optimised

  • Built for critical thinking. Learners experiment, explore, and understand how phishing works

  • No stock examples. They create their own scenarios using realistic tactics

  • Plain English, no jargon. Because learning should be clear and inclusive

We’re not teaching people to fear their inbox. We’re helping them understand it.
